Pittsburgh’s 59th Annual Light Up Night returns Friday, November 22, 2019 for the PPG Plaza Tree Lighting at 5:30pm and for Highmark Tree Lighting with Rooftop Fireworks & Laser Show at 7:00pm. On light up night, buildings around downtown, keep their lights on throughout the night, lending to their name. Founded in 1960 - 200,000 attendees attend the event. This event is a time for free music, including choirs, street performers, and even rock concerts, downtown and in Station Square. In addition, the city offers free carriage rides!
Ice Skating: 11:00 a.m. to Midnight
The MassMutual Pittsburgh Ice Rink is Downtown’s only outdoor skating rink! Magic Ice USA will donate $1 to each skate admission on Light Up Night to the American Cancer Society.

12:00 p.m. – U.S. Steel Tower Dedication of the Creche
4:45 p.m. – Allegheny County Courthouse Trees & Tower Lighting
5:15 p.m. – City-County Building Tree Lighting
5:30 p.m. – PPG Plaza Tree Lighting
5:45 p.m. – One Oxford Centre Tree Lighting
5:45 p.m. – Market Square’s BNY Mellon Season of Lights Countdown
7:00 p.m. – Highmark Christmas Tree Lighting with Rooftop Fireworks & Jumbotron Show
9:30 to 10:00 p.m. – BNY Mellon Fireworks Finale Viewing Area at Ft. Duquesne Boulevard between 6th & Stanwix Streets: End the night with the BNY Mellon Fireworks Finale, presented by Zambelli. The spectacular show is broadcasted live and synchronized to your favorite holiday hits on Q92.9 FM.
